My name is Sharon Rowe and I was a BBC journalist for 20 years before I decided to turn my love of dogs into a way of life. I already had 2 rescued dogs - Bengi, a Collie-Cross from the RSPCA who we lost January 10th 2012 aged 16 and Marty, a Lab-Collie who came from The Last Chance Animal Sanctuary and is now 12. My home, with one and a half acres of fenced gardens, pond and surrounding countryside is an ideal location to offer other dogs a home from home holiday. Over the past few years I have built up a happy base of customers (and owners) who come back time and time again. We have now rescued another puppy born on Nov 12th 2011.
My partner Dave helps look after the dogs. They spend a lot of time playing and relaxing in the back garden and field, providing the weather is okay. The dogs swim and paddle in the pond and are completely safe as the entire field and garden are fenced. There are lots of safe countryside walks which we do at least three a day for the dogs that are up to it. Dogs wear our i.d tags while here for extra safety.
