Its the dog's holiday - let us know what he or she would like include in the stay here...time with a toy,  fetching a ball..or even just extra cuddles

The Dog Retreat is a place where dogs get to be dogs..with a little extra comfort and cuddles.

Excercise and play: We take the dogs out as soon as it is light and then at least every two hours after that. If the weather is okay we stay out in the field and gardens with them. They are not left out unsupervised. Walks are catered to the dogs - longer for the young and fit, less for the puppies and elderly dogs.   The dogs play together (though some prefer our company or just to stroll around looking for rabbits, or for fox poo to roll in.  

Feeding:  We feed our dogs after the first walk of the morning and late afternoon. If you want a different schedule then let us know.    

Grooming: We do not have the equipment or facilities for professional grooming. Groomers have special tables with harnesses to keep dogs still and secure in order to work on tangles, under bellies etc.  We will brush coats and keep tangles out of long hair....but  outdoor play and walks particularly in winter means longer coated dogs may need a groomer when they go home. It is a sign that they have been having a lot of fun and walks here.
